MOT Testing

Every vehicle in the UK needs to be tested each year to ensure it complies with roadworthiness standards.

The purpose of the MOT is to ensure that cars, light vehicles, private buses and motorcycles over 3 years old are checked at least once a year to see that they comply with key roadworthiness and environmental requirements.

An important aspect of the MOT is that the vehicles equipment is tested, by and large, to the standards expected during it's first year of manufacture.  This means that it is expected that the brakes and emissions  of a car produced in 1963 will not be expected to reach the same standards as a modern day vehicle.

Gyle Service & MOT Centre (Edinburgh) have installed the latest state of the art MOT testing equipment sourced from Boston Garage Equipment ensuring firm accurate results on every vehicle tested and gives the capability of testing Class 4, Class 7 and Class 5 Light vehicles.

Why not call Gyle Service & MOT Centre (Edinburgh) today or fill in the online booking form to arrange an appointment?

You will be able to leave the car with us on the day, or watch the test being carried out from our comfortable reception area.
